Becky's Interview Questions for Me:
5 questions for Rachel!
1. If you had to have any one of your beliefs truly reversed... that is, you would believe the opposite of what you now believe as strongly as what you believe now... what would it be, how do you think your new belief would turn out, and why would you choose this belief? (Sorry, that's really long. But I think it's interesting...)
This one is really hard, I had to save it to answer last. I think maybe I would change what I believe about personal faith, and personal religion... Which, right now, is that (for me at least) faith is sort of a secret. Not that it shouldn't be shown ever, but that... it's a private thing. I think that I might have an easier time dealing with religion, if I turned that around. It might benefit me, as opposed to other beliefs I could change that would not be beneficial.
2. If you were suddenly put in another body, do you think you could convince everyone in your life that it was really you? If not, who would you have trouble convincing, and why do you think so?
I think I could probably convince many people that it was me.... I think I might have trouble convincing people I was not as close to, like extended family, or friends who aren't close. I think I couldn't convince such people because they don't know what I'm like, or don't know my stories, or my secrets, well enough to recognize me in a different body.
3. What is the worst thing you would do to get something you really wanted?
I think that depends on the thing. On what it is, and why I want it. But I think I can say with some confidence, and knowledge of many exceptions, that the worst I would do is steal it.
4. Can you imagine something, or someone, being so compelling that you would immediately abandon your life as it is to follow it or them? What kind of pull would it/they have to exert for you to do this?
Are we talking about Jesus, here? ;) That's what the question makes me think of... dropping everything to follow someone. I can imagine that in an abstract sense--someone so compelling that other people drop everything and follow. I can't quite imagine it happening to me, though I also don't think it's impossible... I think they would have to pull on me in many ways at once. Like, not just be so wise, or so kind, or so loving, or so powerful, or so convincing that I would follow...they would have to be all of those things.
5. If you could go back and change one action in your past that you directly took, would you? If you would, what would it be?
Maybe I'm just not thinking of the right things...but I don't think I would. I think I've ended up all right, despite anything I did that I could have done differently, and I'm not sure there would be much point in fixing them now that they're past.

Thank you for answering my questions!
I want to ask you more questions because of them!
But instead I will let you ask me.:)
Although I do wonder if you would have chosen the same answer for number 1 if we hadn't had so many discussions about it... Not in an arrogant way, but I think when I was choosing the question, the options I could think of for my answer in my head were mostly related to social things... like, beliefs that I feel make it more difficult for me to relate to the people around me... Anyway. Your turn.
All right, here are your questions:
1. If you had to choose one food that you like a lot now but would suddenly dislike, what would it be? Why?
2. If you had to pick only one author whom you admire to meet in person, who would it be and why? If you had to pick one author whom you admire that you would be forever unable to meet, who would it be and why?
3. What is your strongest sense memory other than sight? If you get really into it, pick a different memory for each sense.
4. If you were placed under a spell that caused you to be turned into a marine animal every full moon, what animal would you pick and why?
5. If you had to have one sexual partner for the rest of your life, and said partner had one fetish, what fetish would you most want them to have? What fetish would you never put up with? Just answer the latter if the former is too personal for a blog.
