(after enduring an unusual amount of Alex's usual name-calling, slapping, squeezing and biting--and no, not in the context you're imagining)
Me: You're so abusive.
Alex: Domestic abuse is often unreported among homosexual couples.
Me: I'm going to report you.
Alex: If you report me, I'll beat your face.
I hope I'm remembering that verbatim. It was truly amazing.
