Money Sucks

Why is it always so difficult to make ends meet? I emailed Simmons to ask a few general questions, and discovered that starting in the fall, tuition is going up. By $75 per credit hour. Which adds up to a lot--rather than having $2000 left over from my loans after paying tuition, I'll only have $200. Which means whatever private loans I get to pay my rent in Boston will have to be for more than I originally thought. Which, according to my father, is a very bad thing. I don't know if it's really all that bad, but he seems horrified at the idea that I'll take out private loans for huge amounts of dollars. And that's just for one year. This is not a one-year degree.

I'm feeling pessimistic today...really I just want to give up.

*hug* I know, money always makes things much more complicated than they should be. I think I've just resigned myself to the fact that if I'm teaching I'm never going to have much money, and half of that is going to be paying off loans anyway.

Wow, I just filled out the application for my student loans--just for this summer!--and I am thoroughly depressed. I better find a good paying job or...I don't know. I'll be living at home again or something. This is ridiculous.
