OK, Cupid!
So, after many years of ignoring the account I made, I re-signed up for OKCupid. I'd thought about it after Katie's successful in-person meeting of her Cupid boy, and then when Amy at work told me that she'd met a cool guy via Cupid as well, I decided it was time to jump right back on the horse. So, if any of you are reading this because you followed the link from my Cupid profile, welcome. I long to have a larger audience for my observations!
In other news, Amy came over today to wander around Somerville with me, which was positively delightful. It's really great to make a new friend and have that feeling that you're going to be even better friends, instead of just staying at that "I know you and we work together" level. We walked to the labyrinth over at Harvard (really, just down the block from us. Somehow it seems so much quicker to go there than to go the usual way to the Square...) and talked as we walked the whole thing. Then we attempted to get lost, found an interesting graffiti man with a broken heart and a katakana speech bubble, trailed his other appearances, creeped out some parents in a playground by hanging around watching the children, found an awesome bookstore and an awesome other store with lots of pretty clothes and lovely things in it, and then meandered home again. Hooray for wandering. Then we perused OKCupid for a while, and I lent her my Gargoyles comics (yay for cartoon lovers), and all in all it was a lovely day. Bonding is excellent.
